Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 5 years of experience for a Magnet-designated teaching hospital setting. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient echo scanning, performing 75–100 studies daily, with 5x8 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Block scheduling is available Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu, weekends as needed, and no on-call requirement. Role may float within scope to affiliate hospitals; charting is via Excellian/Epic in a 672-bed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in echocardiography required.
• BLS and RDCS-Adults required; RDCS-Peds preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Inpatient and ER work experience required; outpatient, teaching hospital, PICU, neonate, and NICU experience preferred.
• Experience with portable studies and Syngo; IV starts, PACS, and biopsy experience preferred.
• Experience with 3D echo, bubble study, contrast agents, M-mode, pharmacologic stress echo, RIT/RVOT, TEE, and treadmill stress echo preferred.
• Siemens and Philips equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient echo department scanning 75-100 studies per day.
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Block scheduling available for Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday rotations.
• Weekend shifts required depending on schedule.
• No on-call requirement.
• May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby.
• Charting via Excellian/Epic.
• Facility: 672 staffed beds, Short Term Acute Care, Magnet, Teaching, Level III Trauma.
