Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI certification and 1+ year of experience to work across multiple hospital locations in Denver.

The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no on-call requirements. Epic charting is used, and there is potential for contract-to-hire for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ARDMS or CCI cardiac/vascular certification required.

• Minimum 1 year of sonography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac and vascular sonography exams in a clinical setting.
• Rotate across multiple facility locations (St. Joseph's, Platte Valley, Good Samaritan, Lutheran).
• Follow a Monday–Friday schedule, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No on-call coverage and no holidays.
• Use Epic for charting and documentation.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, and patients.
• Prepare patients for exams including identification, education, and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work in a clinical setting performing cardiac and vascular sonography exams
• Rotates across multiple facility locations, including St. Joseph's, Platte Valley, Good Samaritan, and Lutheran, typically one location per day
• Monday-Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No on-call requirements and no holiday coverage
• Uses Epic for charting
• Potential for contract-to-hire for the right candidate
• Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers, and patients
• Prepare patients for exams including identification processes, education, and transportation
• Perform ultrasound exams according to protocols while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
• Communicate and coordinate patient care needs with physicians, caregivers, patients, and family throughout the exam
• Ensure patient stability and safety after exam completion
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area, coordinating repair or supply needs as necessary
• Support team quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
