Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 1–2 years of experience for a community hospital setting. The role requires RDCS/AE or RCS certification, BLS, and EPIC charting experience, with VA/compact license as applicable.

The position covers adult acute care, outpatient, and ED settings, using PACS and Philips equipment. Day shift, with potential for routine floating within the department. BSN preferred and references required.

Qualifications

• ARDMS RDCS, ARDMS AE or CCI RCS certification required; RVS certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• VA or compact state license required if applicable.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Two professional references required.
• Must hold license/certifications at submission time.

Responsibilities

• Work in adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings.
• Perform adult echo, 3D echo, bubble studies, and imaging with contrast agents.
• M‑mode imaging, pharmacologic stress echo, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT, TEE, and treadmill stress echo.
• Vascular experience (carotid/arterial) is a plus but not required.
• Use PACS and Philips equipment; float within scope as needed.
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; travel not required.

• Must be in possession of required license/certifications at time of submission

Responsibilities

• Work in adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings
• Perform adult echo, 3D echo, bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, pharmacologic stress echo, portable studies, RVIT, RVOT, TEE, and treadmill stress echo
• Vascular experience (carotid, arterial) is a plus but not required
• Uses PACS and Philips equipment
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Candidates will float within scope if needed
• Accepts local candidates at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience
• Travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Facility maintains a natural nail policy

• Background checks are reviewed by the facility
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and are subject to unit manager approval; no time off is granted during the first week of assignment
