Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of outpatient CT experience to work in a Level II Trauma Center in Oregon. You will operate GE and Toshiba/Canon CT systems, perform contrast procedures, and follow ARRT safety guidelines.

The role requires OBMI radiography licensure or ARRT CT registration, BLS within 90 days, and Epic charting proficiency. Night shifts 18:30–07:00, 3x12 hours, with a 13-week assignment and potential floating between facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging technology program.
• OBMI radiography license applicable in Oregon.
• ARRT radiography registration required; CT certification required.
• BLS certification due within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience; outpatient focus.
• Experience with GE and Toshiba/Canon CT systems.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging in an outpatient Level II trauma setting.
• Work night shift: 18:30–07:00, 3x12-hour shifts Thu–Sat.
• Complete a 13‑week assignment with potential facility float.
• Operate GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment and PACS.
• Conduct contrast administration and radiation safety.
• Adhere to ARRT guidelines and isolation protocols.
• Complete required non-billable training modules annually.
• May float to affiliated facilities with West Valley Hospital first option.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of outpatient CT experience and proficiency with GE and Toshiba/Canon equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited imaging technology program
• Licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in radiography, license required if applicable
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
• Licensed in CT by the OBMI or registered in CT by ARRT, license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the AHA required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Outpatient experience and strong IV skills required
• Experience with both GE and Toshiba/Canon CT systems required
• Epic charting system experience required
• ARRT CT certification required
• Preferred experience with Trauma Level II setting
• Preferred skills include 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and various contrast studies of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and spine

Responsibilities

• Outpatient-focused CT Technologist position in a Level II Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 18:30 to 07:00, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• 13-week assignment length
• Utilizes GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment and PACS system
• Requires Epic charting experience
• May be required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliated facilities, with West Valley Hospital as the first floating option
• Performs diagnostic CT imaging procedures in accordance with ARRT guidelines
• Responsible for contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Required to complete up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules prior to start and annually thereafter
• Former employees of this health system are ineligible for travel assignments until six months after their termination date
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• RTO requests must be finalized prior to consideration
• Travel experience is not required, so first-time travelers may be considered
