Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification for a night shift role at a Level II Trauma Center.

The position requires ARRT CT, ARRT R, and BLS certifications, 3 years CT experience, and proficiency with post-processing (3D rendering, MPR, ROI). Travel experience preferred but local candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT, ARRT R, and BLS certifications required (license required if applicable).
• Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience.
• Experience with post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR (multiplanar reconstruction) and ROI measurement.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal and chest CT studies.
• Experience with coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and brain perfusion preferred.
• Contrast administration and starting peripheral IVs.
• Radiation safety knowledge and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma Center setting serving adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED populations.
• Patient ratio of 1:3.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), Mon/Tue/Thu 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Call required approximately 2 shifts per month.
• Operates GE Revolution Scanner and PACS with IV Tera Recon, AW, Vision, and i-STAT systems.
• Performs a wide range of CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest and vascular.
• Supports a busy hospital environment; travel experience preferred.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate.

• Experience with image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
• Experience with special procedures including coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and brain perfusion preferred
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
• Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma Center setting serving adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department populations
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Call required approximately 2 shifts per month
• Uses GE Revolution Scanner, PACS, IV Tera Recon, AW, Vision, and i-STAT systems
• GE Revolution Scanner experience highly preferred
• Performs a wide range of CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular studies
• Supports a very busy hospital environment
• Previous travel experience preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
