Requirements include BLS, a CA CRT with Fluoroscopy permit within 180 days, venipuncture certification, and an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent. Shift options include 4x10 evenings or nights, with potential for days and weekends.

Qualifications

• Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT examinations and assists with CT-guided procedures.
• Works with adult, pediatric, adolescent, neonatal, and geriatric patients.
• Uses GE imaging equipment and PACS for image transmission and archiving.
• Performs venipuncture and administers contrast media and adjunct medications.
• Documents care in the EHR and coordinates exam protocols.
• Assesses patients for safety and cooperation prior to exams.
• Educates patients and answers questions before exam.
• Ensures accurate charge capture and regulatory compliance.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (R) certification to perform CT studies across diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• CA CRT with Fluoroscopy permit required within 180 days of hire (license required if applicable)
• Venipuncture certification required
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or successful graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree or diploma
• Proficiency with cross-sectional anatomy, technical factors, and multiple computerized systems required
• Previous acute care facility experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs CT examinations and assists with CT-guided procedures
• Works with adult, pediatric, adolescent, neonatal, and geriatric patient populations
• Shift options include 4x10 evenings (13:30-00:00) or 4x10 nights (22:00-08:00), with potential for days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Utilizes GE imaging equipment and PACS system for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval
• Performs venipuncture and administers contrast media and adjunct medications
• Documents care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Coordinates CT examination protocols according to physician orders and clinical history
• Assess patients prior to exams to ensure safety and cooperation, including high-risk and critically ill patients
• Educates patients and addresses questions or concerns prior to exam execution
• Ensures accurate charge capture and documentation
• Complies with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements
• Accepts local candidates
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
