Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Lead CT Technologist with 10+ years of CT experience and ARRT-CT/RT certification for a community hospital role in Maryland. Proficiency in Cerner and PACS is required.

The ideal candidate will oversee scheduling and protocol management in a CT department with GE and Siemens equipment, perform advanced imaging, and support special procedures. Maryland license and BLS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years CT Technologist experience (lead-level preferred).
• ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required; BLS required.
• Maryland or Compact license active at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging for abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/MSK, chest/cardiac.
• Execute special procedures: biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion, colonography, CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies.
• Utilize GE and Siemens CT equipment with PACS integration.
• Lead scheduling and protocol management; oversee CT department operations.
• Must be willing to float within hospital as scope allows.
• Must pass nicotine screening; maintain tobacco-free facility.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a Lead CT Technologist with 10+ years of experience and ARRT-CT/RT certification for a role requiring Cerner proficiency and community hospital experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of CT Technologist experience, with lead-level experience preferred
• ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required
• BLS certification required
• Maryland or Compact license required and must be active and in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Community hospital and LTAC experience required
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Skills in scheduling and protocol management (ACR preferred)

Responsibilities

• Community hospital setting within the CT department
• Performs CT imaging for abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/MSK, and chest/cardiac studies
• Special procedures include biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion, colonography, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, and transplant studies
• Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment with PACS integration
• Day shift schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 AM-5:00 PM with every other Saturday 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Requires Cerner charting system experience
• Must be willing to float within the hospital per scope of practice
• Lead CT Technologist responsible for overseeing scheduling and protocol management
• Must be nicotine-free as the facility is tobacco-free; a positive nicotine screen will result in cancellation
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year prior to consideration
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no mileage radius rule
• Travel experience required
