Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a hospital radiology department. The role requires ARRT CT and ARRT R certification, with at least two years of CT experience, and a current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, and chest.
• Handle contrast procedures and post-processing; use PACS and Toshiba CT equipment.
• Work in adult acute care, outpatient, and ED settings; may float to sister facilities.
• Maintain Epic EMR documentation and comply with holidays and scheduling.
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection during portable, OR, NICU, PICU, and ICU imaging.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a hospital radiology department requiring ARRT CT and ARRT R certification.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT CT and ARRT R certification required
• BLS certification required
• Fluoro Permit preferred
• Valid state license required; compact license must be in hand at submission, license required if applicable
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, Level I and Level II trauma experience preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and image post-processing
• Must be able to perform portable, C-arm, OR, NICU, PICU, and ICU imaging as needed
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must respond to questions regarding any prior employment history with the health system

Responsibilities

• Adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings
• CT procedures include abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular CTA imaging
• Special procedures may include CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, radiation therapy planning, and transplant studies
• Preferred experience in ICU, Level I and Level II trauma centers
• Uses PACS and Toshiba CT equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• May be required to float between sister facilities
• Perform a wide range of CT imaging procedures including contrast and non-contrast studies across multiple body systems
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at standard bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, but must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
