Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a CT Technologist to float between CT and Diagnostic X-ray departments in a high-demand hospital setting. The role requires ARRT CT and ARRT R certification with BLS, plus a minimum of one year of experience.

Candidates must hold MO or Compact licensing and be able to handle 3x12 hour shifts, weekends, and holidays. PACS usage and Siemens equipment familiarity are preferred; travel eligibility varies by distance.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT, ARRT R and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
• License required if applicable.
• MO or Compact license must be in hand.
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing; 3D rendering preferred.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies.
• Experience with special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, and vascular CTA preferred.
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture.
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with exposure to contagious illnesses.

Responsibilities

• CT Float position requiring floating between CT and Diagnostic X-ray departments.
• Adult acute care and outpatient settings.
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
• Fridays scheduled 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
• Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
• Holiday coverage required, including at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract.
• Uses PACS system and Siemens equipment.
• Cerner charting preferred but not required.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather required.
• Position requires ability to take call and work assigned weekends.
• Travelers residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this position.
• Travelers residing 51-74 miles away may be offered a local rate.
