Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Virginia. Proficiency with Siemens CT equipment and Epic is required, along with active ARRT CT and BLS certifications.

This travel assignment features 3x12-hour evening shifts, generous housing allowances, travel/licensure reimbursements, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and per diem. Prior travel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience required.
• BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certifications required.
• Active state license required; license required if applicable.
• Siemens equipment experience required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration.
• Knowledge of radiation safety practices.
• Previous travel healthcare experience required.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Level I/II Trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acute care teaching hospital setting within the CT Tech unit.
• 3x12-hour evening shifts, Wednesday-Friday, 3:00 PM-3:00 AM (actual times may vary by up to 2 hours based on department needs).
• No on-call requirement.
• May float to a nearby outpatient clinic location approximately half a mile away.
• Holiday coverage required, with scheduling based on unit needs.
• Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center with over 700 licensed beds.
• Perform imaging using 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement techniques.
• Support a range of studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal imaging.
• Perform special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, CT angiography, and drainage under supervision as applicable.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role.
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted.
• Previous employees must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler.
• All time-off requests must be submitted with the initial application.
