Job summary

American Traveler in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Level I Trauma exposure to join a fast-paced radiology team.

You will perform abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest and cardiac CT studies using a Siemens CT scanner, with 4x10-hour day shifts and no on-call requirements. Epic EMR experience and VA license are required or pending.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CT Technologist experience.
• ARRT(CT), ARRT(R), and BLS certifications required.
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• VA state license required (license required if applicable); pending licenses accepted.
• Proficiency in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, ROI measurement preferred.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and cardiac CT studies preferred.
• Contrast media preparation/administration, IV starts, venipuncture and radiation safety skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• CT Scan department within a Level I Trauma center.
• Adult acute care, outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU patient populations.
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Mon & Wed & Thu & Fri 8:30 AM–6:30 PM.
• No call requirements.
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS imaging system.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and cardiac/vascular imaging.
• May float within clinical scope of practice as needed.
• Up to 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract.
• 50-mile radius rule applies for this unit.
• Previous UVA staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler.
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility.
• Orientation includes up to 16 non-billable, specialty-specific training modules.
• BSN preferred.
