Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma hospital, requiring 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT(R) certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• ARRT(R) certification required, ARRT(CT) preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency with abdomen and pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies required
• Experience with vascular CTA and brain perfusion studies required
• Skilled in multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) required, 3D rendering and ROI measurement preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, isolation precautions, and radiation safety required
• Peripheral IV insertion and venipuncture skills preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required, with any exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Level I trauma hospital setting with adult and pediatric acute care, ED, and outpatient services
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every third weekend required (7p-7a)
• Potential to float to an affiliated advanced radiology services location
• Uses GE CT equipment and PACS imaging system
• Epic EMR experience required
• Perform a wide range of CT procedures across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Some special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, and myelography are preferred but not required
• Navy scrubs required
• Full availability required during orientation week
• Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed
• Travelers may be required to float before permanent staff
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• First-time travelers may be considered
