Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT/Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of CT experience to support a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center ED. First-time travelers are welcome to apply and will work on-site in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include CT and X-ray imaging for adults and pediatrics, shift work on a 12-hour night schedule with no on-call, and collaboration with a leadership team. Housing and licensure reimbursements are offered for travel roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT Certification RT(R)(CT) required.
• License required if applicable.
• Skilled in CT and X-ray; willing to be trained on Fluoro setup.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Must treat adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• CT Scan in ED of a Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital.
• Operate in a 54-bed department with 4 Radiology rooms and 4 CT rooms.
• Handle approx. 200 patient visits daily.
• Cover ED trauma and stroke imaging.
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours/week.
• Shift times vary across a 4-week cycle; no on-call.
• Floating limited to CT for ED coverage.
• Use Siemens, GE, Canon CT/X-ray equipment; RadPRO portable and mini-C-Arm units; EPIC EMR.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality with 2+ years of CT experience for a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center ED setting, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT Certification RT(R)(CT) required
• License required if applicable
• Skilled in both CT and X-ray, with willingness to be trained on Fluoro machine setup
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be able to work with both Adult and Peds patient populations
• Must be able to remain calm and effective in high-acuity, Level 1 trauma situations

Responsibilities

• CT Scan - ED unit within a 885-bed Level 1 Trauma Designated academic teaching hospital
• 54-bed department with 4 Radiology rooms and 4 CT rooms serving both Peds and Adult patients
• Average census of 200 patients per day
• Patient population includes trauma and stroke cases
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Shift times vary between 6:30a-7p or 11p-11:30a on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or 2:30p-1a Monday-Thursday, or 6:30p-7a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday on a 4-week schedule cycle
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Floating limited to the CT department for ED coverage only
• Uses Siemens, GE, and Canon CT and X-ray equipment, RadPRO portable and mini-C-Arm units
• EPIC EMR used
• Perform CT and X-ray imaging for adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma emergency department setting
• Supported by a leadership team of 5 senior staff
• Departmental orientation up to 5 days depending on experience
• Travelers will be expected to work 75% of holidays
• RTO requests require manager approval
• Black scrubs required
