Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II trauma center with 2+ years of experience. Requires GE CT scanner proficiency, BLS, RT(R)(CT), IEMA certifications and active license if applicable, plus Epic EMR experience.

The role supports ED, inpatient, outpatient, stroke and trauma patients in a busy 176-bed facility with 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours weekly, and rotating weekends/on-call. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Responsibilities

  • Hospital-based CT department within a 176-bed Level II trauma center.
  • Patient population includes ED, inpatient, outpatient, stroke, chest pain, procedural, and trauma cases.
  • Department averages 50-75 patients per day.
  • 8-hour day shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
  • 40 hours per week on an 8-week cycle.
  • Weekend rotation every 4th weekend.
  • On-call rotation on an 8-week cycle; details discussed in interview.
  • Holiday coverage per unit needs.
  • Uses Epic EMR and GE CT scanners with experience required.
  • 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and trauma team support within the department.
  • New Employee Orientation and 1 week of precepted shifts for orientation.
  • RTO requests subject to manager approval.
  • Caribbean blue scrub color; free parking.
  • Local candidates accepted at same pay rate; no radius restrictions.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II trauma center, requiring 2+ years of experience and GE CT scanner proficiency.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
  • Experience with IV starts, stroke and chest pain work-ups, and trauma cases
  • GE CT scanner experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
Responsibilities
  • Hospital-based CT department within a 176-bed Level II trauma, Magnet, Chest Pain, and Stroke Center
  • Patient population includes ED, inpatient, outpatient, stroke, chest pain, procedural, and trauma cases
  • Department averages 50-75 patients per day
  • 8-hour day shift schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • 40 standard hours per week on an 8-week scheduling cycle
  • Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend
  • On-call rotation required on an 8-week cycle, details discussed in interview
  • Holiday coverage per unit needs
  • No floating required
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Uses GE CT scanners with experience required
  • 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and trauma team support within the department
  • Facility orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 1 week of precepted shifts
  • RTO requests subject to manager approval
  • Scrub color required is Caribbean blue

  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
  • Former Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignment
