Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III Trauma Center. Requires ARRT-CT certification, BLS, and a WA state license if applicable.

Acute care hospital experience and proficiency with general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical care CT cases are required. Evenings and nights involve a high proportion of ER/ICU patients; the department supports multiple CT suites and a fast-paced environment with on-call shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT and BLS certification required.
• Washington state license required if applicable.
• Acute care hospital experience required.
• Experience with general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical care CT cases required.
• Cardiac CT experience preferred.
• Experience in a large Level III+ facility required.

Responsibilities

• Imaging Department with 3 CT Suites.
• Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds.
• Day shift patient types include general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical cases.
• Evening/night shift patients are approximately 90% ER and ICU.
• Over 100 patients seen in a 24-hour period.
• 2-3 call shifts per month, call hours 7p-7a.
• Weekend rotation on a fixed schedule, some positions require every weekend.
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday.
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, MedRad injector, and Change Healthcare PACS.
• Equipment includes Siemens Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64, and Definition Edge 128.
• Typically does not float outside the department.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level III Trauma Center, requiring ARRT-CT certification and acute care experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT-CT & R certification required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Experience with general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical care CT cases required
• Cardiac CT experience preferred
• Experience in a large Level III+ facility required, critical access-only experience not accepted
• No prior equipment experience necessary

Responsibilities

• Imaging Department with 3 CT Suites
• Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds
• Day shift patient types include general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical cases
• Evening/night shift patients are approximately 90% ER and ICU
• Over 100 patients seen in a 24-hour period
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Wednesday/Friday from 0800-1630
• 2-3 call shifts per month, call hours are 7p-7a
• Weekend rotation on a fixed schedule, some positions require every weekend
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, MedRad injector, and Change Healthcare PACS
• Equipment includes Siemens Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64, and Definition Edge 128
• Typically does not float outside the department
• Support team includes Lead CT Tech, Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist, Radiologist, RRT, and CT Transporter (unavailable 4am-9am)
• IR MD and PA assist with CT cases; Radiologist on-site during the day and off-site at night
• Up to 5 CT Techs on staff during business hours, reduced to 3 after 5pm
• Orientation includes NEO plus a minimum of 1 week in the department
• Covid vaccine required at this facility
• Scrubs may be any professional color without logos or designs
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers accepted if they have broad experience in a large Level III+ facility
• Travelers with 1 year of experience accepted if from a large Level III+ facility and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• RTO requests must be approved by the manager
