Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and at least 1 year of dedicated CT experience in a Level I trauma academic medical center. The position requires BLS, experience with GE/Siemens and PACS, and preferred Epic charting experience.

The role covers adult and pediatric CT services across multiple units, with 3x12 shifts and weekend coverage. Travel candidates with 3–5 years general CT or 1–2 years in Level I trauma centers are welcome; local candidates within

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification is required; R prefers.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CT experience; multi-modality CT/x-ray not acceptable.
• Experience with GE, Siemens, and PACS is required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Hospital experience in teaching, Level I trauma preferred.
• Proficiency in contrast media administration and IV starts.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• CT unit in a Level I trauma academic medical center covering outpatient, inpatient, CT intervention, pain management, portable neuro CT, portable OR imaging, and dedicated ED CT services.
• Handle CT studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and MSK with/without contrast.
• Perform special procedures like CT arthrography, vascular CTA, transplant studies; routine and emergent imaging.
• Operate GE and Siemens CT equipment and PACS; ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Cover adult and pediatric populations including NICU/PICU/adult ICU; 3x12 hour day shifts 7:00–19:30; weekends.
• Biweekly orientation; flu vaccine required without exemptions.
• First-time travelers considered with 3–5 years general CT or 1–2 years in Level I trauma center.
• Submit supervisory reference within last year; local candidates within 75 miles at reduced rate.
• RTO disclosure up to 5–7 days; provide SSN and DOB; check prior employment within health system within last 6 months.

• ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT (R) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CT experience required (multi-modality experience such as CT/x-ray does not qualify)
• Experience with GE, Siemens, and PACS required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I trauma experience preferred
• Skilled in preparation/administration of contrast media, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Complex academic healthcare system with Level I trauma program and 1,000 beds, including 200 dedicated pediatric beds
• CT Tech unit covering outpatient, inpatient, CT intervention, pain management, portable neuro CT, portable OR imaging, and dedicated ED CT services
• Caseload includes cardiac, oncology, trauma, pain management, and interventional cases
• Adult and pediatric patient population, including NICU/PICU/adult ICU
• 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including weekends (Mon/Sat/Sun)
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast
• Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, CT arthrography, vascular CTA, and transplant studies
• Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment and PACS system
• Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, adult outpatient, Level I trauma, and pediatric acute care settings
• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• First-time travelers considered if they have 3-5 years of general CT experience or 1-2 years in a Level I trauma center
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
• RTO must be disclosed, with a maximum of 5-7 days
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months
