Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in Florida. The role requires 1+ year of CT imaging experience and strong adult and pediatric acute care skills, with 3D rendering and contrast administration experience.

BLS and ARRT(R) certification are required, as is an active Florida license. Night shift, 3x12 hours, with block scheduling and potential travel to affiliated facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience.
• Active Florida license required; ARRT (R) and BLS certifications.
• Experience with adult and pediatric acute care CT imaging.
• Emergency Department experience required.
• Two supervisory references within the past year.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans in an acute care hospital setting for adults and children.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 17:00 to 5:30; block scheduling may apply.
• Float to sister facilities as needed; use PACS and Philips equipment; GE experience preferred.
• Maintain safety, PPE, and isolation precautions; administer contrast as required.
• Travel with unit staff as appropriate; ensure high-quality imaging.

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 1+ years of experience and both adult and pediatric acute care CT imaging skills.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist required
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Active Florida license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Experience with adult and pediatric acute care required
• Emergency Department experience required
• Experience across pediatric to geriatric patient populations required
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis CT with and/or without contrast required
• Experience with vascular chest and chest CT with and/or without contrast required
• Experience with head and neck CT imaging required
• Experience with spine and musculoskeletal CT imaging required
• 3D rendering experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required
• Experience preparing and/or administering contrast media required
• Biopsy experience required
• Two supervisory references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) dated within the past year required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting within the CT Tech unit
• Level II Adult Trauma Center with 514 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 17:00 to 5:30
• Block scheduling available depending on unit needs
• Weekend requirements depend on block schedule
• No on-call requirements
• May float to sister facilities including Cape Canaveral, Palm Bay, and Viera based on unit needs
• Uses PACS and Philips equipment; GE experience preferred
• Sunrise EMR preferred but not required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers with no radius restriction
• Former employees or contract staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteed
• Finalized RTO must be submitted for consideration; additional RTO requests are not accepted after offer
• Solid-colored scrubs required with matching tops and bottoms, no logos or prints
• Free parking with decal provided at orientation
