Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma acute care hospital. Requires 2+ years of CT tech experience, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications, plus Illinois license. Travel-friendly with 4x10 shifts and call duties.

Responsibilities include performing CT studies across multiple regions using Siemens equipment in a high-volume setting and leveraging post-processing tools for diagnostic accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT Tech experience
• ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required
• State license required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Level I trauma acute care hospital setting with 562 staffed beds
• Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department work settings
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Call required at least 1 night per week
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Siemens equipment used
• Perform a wide range of CT imaging studies across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal regions
• Utilize advanced image display and post-processing techniques for diagnostic accuracy
• Any solid color scrubs accepted
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Time off requests must be discussed and approved with the facility manager

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT-CT certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
• ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required
• State license required if applicable
• Active Illinois state license required or in application process with ETA
• Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Required skills: Abdomen and pelvis CT with/without contrast, chest CT with/without contrast, vascular chest (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Required skills: Head and neck CT including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head
• Required skills: Spine and musculoskeletal CT including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Required skills: Coronary CTA
• Required skills: 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
• First-time travelers accepted
