Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment. ARRT registration or registry eligibility and advanced CT certification are required, with BLS and Siemens experience preferred.

You will perform CT procedures, manage contrast administration, and document imaging in EPIC/PACS at an academic medical center. Flexible eligibility for registry within one year and license where applicable are specified.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
• ARRT registration or registry eligible (must provide diploma if registry eligible).
• Advanced certification in CT required.
• Must obtain registry status within one year if registry eligible and maintain annually.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Siemens equipment experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• CT procedures and tests including image acquisition, manipulation, and 3D reconstruction.
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• 36 hours per week with no on-call requirement; weekend schedule required.
• Uses EPIC EMR, PACS, and IMPAX service tools.
• Verify patient identification and history; document pregnancy status per protocol.
• Administer oral and IV contrast following safety protocols.
• Transmit images through PACS and EPIC with correct charge and demographics.
• Precept new employees and students.
• Work UNC holidays if needed.

• Conduct CT procedures and tests, including image acquisition, manipulation, and multi-planar/3D reconstruction
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and document pregnancy status per protocol
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients following safety protocols
• Transmit and verify images through PACS and EPIC, ensuring accurate charge and demographic information
• Precept new employees and students
• Must be able to work UNC holidays if needed
