American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred, requiring ARRT(CT) and BLS certification.

Responsibilities include performing CT procedures in a hospital setting, adhering to safety guidelines, and coordinating care with the care team using Epic charting system.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required.
  • ARRT(CT) certification required; ARRT(CT) preferred.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required, must not expire before start.
  • Active state licensure required if applicable.
  • Fluoroscopy certification preferred for Colorado.
  • 1-2 years CT experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • Radiation badge required, preferably supplied by staffing agency.
  • Proficiency in sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning.
  • Strong understanding of CT imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation.
  • Proficiency with electronic imaging including viewing, transferring, and manipulating images.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Compute CT procedures within a hospital setting.
  • Tuesday-Friday day shift, 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
  • 36 hours per week over 4 days.
  • Rotating call and assigned holiday coverage required.
  • Uses Epic charting system.
  • Perform CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes with independent judgment.
  • Verify patient identification, orders, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Administer contrast media per protocol under physician supervision and educate patients on safety concerns.
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate with other care providers following procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and any incidents.
  • Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and consent processes.
  • Assist and instruct students or other radiology technologists as needed.
  • Returning staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment.
