Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift in a Level 2 trauma acute care setting. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT CT certification. BLS and MA license if applicable are required, with AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education.

The role uses MEDITECH EMR and GE VCT/Evo CT machines, performing quality scans, maintaining equipment, and supporting radiologists during off-hours. Housing & travel reimbursements may apply.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years CT Technologist experience
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• MA state license required if applicable
• Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiological Technology
• Experience with Med Rad injector, PACS, VRC, and Powerscribe preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting within the CT Tech unit
• Level 2 trauma center
• Night shift schedule, 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday
• 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends required
• Uses MEDITECH EMR
• Works with GE VCT and Evo/Evolution CT scanners
• Follows hospital protocol for exam routines to produce quality studies efficiently
• Responsible for warming up the CT scanner, running QA, and starting up pressure injector, PACS, and Meditech systems
• Adjusts and manipulates images to required specifications including windowing, contrast, and reformatted images
• Selects proper scanning levels based on field of scan and organ selected
• Ensures scans are properly identified with accurate patient and procedure information
• Reports wet reading findings to physicians, ED, and nursing units as needed
• Restores prior exams for radiologist review and can burn CDs for patients or ER when requested
• Maintains cleanliness and stock of work areas and control rooms
• Notifies supervisor of any equipment malfunctions
