Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a community hospital general OR position requiring 2 years of scrub tech experience and mandatory call coverage.

You will work in a general OR with trauma, ambulatory OR, and podiatry; shifts are 10:30am-7:00pm with mandatory call, 1:1 patient ratio, and Cerner charting is preferred but not required. Floating duties are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of scrub tech experience
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• MO or Compact license required and in hand at time of consideration
• Experience with multiple surgical specialties preferred
• Familiarity with robotic systems including Da Vinci Xi
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, sterilization, and universal protocol

Responsibilities

• General OR setting including trauma, ambulatory OR, and podiatry service lines
• 10:30am-7:00pm day shift with mandatory call
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Cerner charting system preferred but not required
• Floating required including coverage as a Patient Observer (sitter)
• Shifts may rotate and include holidays; potential weather-related adjustments
• Care of scopes, fiber optic equipment, electrosurgical units, and robotic systems
• Adherence to emergency management and fire safety protocols
