Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of OR experience for a busy hospital in Billings, MT. The role covers a broad surgical case mix, including General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Neuro, Vascular, Thoracic and Robotic cases (DaVinci).

You will work 4x10-hour days (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM) with call responsibilities and weekend coverage as needed. Travel-friendly assignment with housing and licensure support is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• NBSTSA CST credential required; NCCT may be considered.
• BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Thoracic, and Robotics.

Responsibilities

• Hospital OR unit with 15 ORs plus a hybrid room shared with Cath Lab.
• Averages 45 cases per day between OR and CVOR.
• Patient population spans many specialties; robotics (Davinci) and trauma cases.
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM.
• Requires 1 call night per week and 1 weekend call within an 8-week period.
• Weekend rotation required for posted weekend needs.
• On-call approximately 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks.
• No floating required.
• Work alongside a support team including Charge RN, staff RNs, CNAs, and fellow CSTs.
• First week orientation with a preceptor and rotation with General, Ortho, and Neuro teams.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Holiday coverage approximately 50% of the time.
• RTO requests must be approved by the manager in advance.
• Scheduling provided in 4-week increments; 8 weeks given ~2 weeks in advance.
• Scrubs provided by the facility; free parking with paid garage option.

• Holiday coverage expected approximately 50% of the time, potentially more based on unit need
• RTO requests must be approved by the manager in advance
• Scheduling provided in 4-week increments, with 8 weeks given approximately 2 weeks in advance
• Scrubs provided by the facility
