Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist/Surgical Assistant for a hospital OR position supporting orthopedic surgeries. The role requires an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology and CST certification, with BLS, fingerprinting, and license as applicable.

A Level 1 Trauma background and Epic EMR experience are preferred. The candidate will work in a hospital OR environment, with day shifts and on-call rotations, collaborating closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology required.
• NBSTSA CST credential required.
• BLS certification required.
• IDPH Fingerprinting required.
• License required if applicable.
• Level 1 Trauma experience required.
• Epic EMR charting experience required.
• CSA certification through NCCSA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hospital OR focused on orthopedic surgeries.
• Day shift 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, 4 days/week, 10 hours/day.
• On-call rotation for weekends/holidays.
• Functions as integral perioperative team member assisting surgeon.
• Scrub as first/second surgical tech or second circulator under RN supervision.
• Maintain sterile environment and asepsis.
• Assist with supply, room turnover, and inventory control.
• Provide age-specific care per policies.
• Participate in Quality/PI and Infection Control activities.
• Preceptor duties and scrubs for classes with students.
