Job summary

FiberTel, LLC, a utility construction company, is seeking Travel CDL Construction Worker/Laborers for our Portland location. This travel role supports telecom construction across OR, WA and ID, performing labor tasks under Foreman supervision and operating safe around heavy equipment.

You will handle digging, installation of underground cables, and site setup, with pay of $20-27/hr plus daily per diem and travel accommodations. Join a team committed to safety and quality on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Basic knowledge of operating various utility trucks and hand tools safely.
• Class A CDL is a plus; higher wages apply for CDL holders.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and crew.

Responsibilities

• Hand dig using manual tools and light machinery.
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate or work around heavy equipment and machines.
• Work in congested or remote job sites while adhering to safety rules.
• Maintain safe working habits and coordinate with crew for movements.
• Assist foreman with construction tasks and site setup/cleanup.
• Understand buried utilities and assist with prep work.
• Lift and move heavy equipment and supplies as needed.
