Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Electrophysiology Tech for a high-volume EP lab in North Carolina. The role requires 2+ years of EP experience, RCIS/RCES certifications, and BLS/ACLS credentials. The tech will handle circulating, scrubbing, and supporting EP evaluations across a multi-lab setup.

Clinical duties include arrhythmia induction, ablation, device implants, and LAA closure with Epic EMR in use. Travel to campus sites within the health system is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience required.
• RCIS and RCES certifications required (license if applicable).
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, pacemaker/AICD procedures, LAA closure, and tilt table studies.
• Experience with cardiac mapping and ablation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate procedures in a 9-room EP lab.
• Scrub and maintain sterile field during EP studies.
• Support EP evaluations and patient care.
• Adhere to compliance EKG exam requirements.
• Float to related campuses as needed.

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Tech requiring 2+ years of experience and RCIS/RCES certification for a high-volume EP lab.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• RCIS and RCES certifications required (license required if applicable)
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, left atrial appendage closure, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies required
• Cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies experience preferred
• Experience with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips, Siemens) and ultrasound preferred
• Skilled in vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Must be able to perform equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with central venous access and PICC line care preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• 9-room lab including 2 very active EP labs performing ablations, implants, and LAA closures
• Multidisciplinary team setting focused on excellent patient outcomes
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Float required as needed, including to any campus within the health system
• Epic EMR required
• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and supporting electrophysiology evaluations
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
