Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an EP Lab Technologist for a day shift in Albuquerque, NM. The role requires at least 1 year of EP experience with BLS/ACLS; RCES certification is preferred. Responsibilities include EP studies, device insertions, and cardiac catheterization procedures within a procedural unit.

Travelers are welcome with EP expertise; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius and will receive housing and licensure support plus travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of EP Technologist experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCI RCES certification preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Sterile technique and infection control basics
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• EP Lab setting within a special procedures unit
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Perform EP studies including arrhythmia induction, mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, and ablation
• Assist with pacemaker, AICD, LAA closure, and Watchman device insertions
• Cardiac cath lab procedures including hemodynamic monitoring and scrub procedures
• Uses fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, Philips, Siemens, and ultrasound equipment
• May float to like units within scope of practice based on facility needs
• First-time travelers considered with extensive EP experience
• Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies, follows infection control and sterile technique protocols
• Follows isolation precautions and PPE guidelines, and participates in rapid response/code team activities as needed

• Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and arrhythmia recognition
• Experience with cardiac implant closure devices and laser-assisted procedures preferred
• License required if applicable
