The schedule is a 4x10-hour day shift, with STEMI call and floating within the hospital as needed; travel nursing experience is required. Open to candidates outside the local area with housing and licensure support.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced EP Lab RN requiring 2-3 years of EP experience and prior travel assignment history.

Requirements

• Active RN license (LA state license or compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2-3 years of EP experience required
• Cath Lab experience of 2-3 years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• One professional reference required
• Must disclose any license disciplinary actions or license hits at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the EP Lab, with cross-training across Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Labs and Hybrid OR settings
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM when not on call, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM when on call
• STEMI call required, approximately 6-8 call shifts per 4-week period, typically including one weekend with other days scattered through the week
• Call is for emergent cases or cases that rarely run past 5 PM
• Must be willing to float within the hospital as needed
• Perform EP procedures including cardiac mapping, ablation, arrhythmia induction, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure
• Perform Cath Lab procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, Impella insertion, and Watchman procedures
• Scrub procedures preferred as a skill for this role
• Orientation includes a virtual day one, followed by two on-site days with additional training and EMR education
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Keep holiday time‑off requests to a minimum
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent residence must be greater than 50 miles from the facility
