Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an EP Lab Technologist with 1+ year of experience for a hospital electrophysiology lab. Certification in ARRT R, RCIS, or RCES is required, along with BLS and ACLS. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support adult to geriatric patient populations; 1:5, ~8–12 cases/day.
• Use Epic and Pyxis systems; 4x10 hour days, 7:00–17:30.
• On-call with no weekend call; may stay past shift hours when on call.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with 1+ years experience and certification in ARRT R, CCI RCIS, or CCI RCES for a hospital electrophysiology lab.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an EP Tech
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT R, CCI RCIS, or CCI RCES certification required
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, EP studies, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience serving as room circulator and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience with middle adult and older adult age-specific competencies
• Charting system experience required
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• EP Lab setting with 2 procedure rooms
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 1:5 patient ratio with 8-12 patients per day
• Uses Epic and Pyxis systems
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Rare floating possible within facility and scope of practice
• On-call required with no weekend call, but must stay past shift hours if on call that day
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in EP procedures while maintaining a sterile field
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Blackout dates apply for RTO during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• If 1-2 major holidays fall within the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
• If 3 major holidays fall within the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Candidates must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates previously cancelled or not-renewed must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
