Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience for a cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab. Work involves 4x10 hour day shifts, call required, travel assignments encouraged.

Requirements include BLS/ACLS, ARRT-R or RCIS, and state license if applicable. Proficiency in venous access, sterile technique, EP procedures, and Epic EMR is preferred. Travel housing allowances and per diem may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years cath lab tech experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification required; state license if applicable.
• Skilled in venous access, vascular closure systems, sterile technique, and equipment setup.
• Experience recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias and interpreting dysrhythmias.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and interventional radiology work settings.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a rotating day off.
• Call required; EP circulate experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Procedures include stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP and Impella placement, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, and rotablator atherectomy.
• Vascular and neurological studies including angioplasty, carotid stenting, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography.
• Uses Siemens fluoroscopy equipment.
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site prep, maintaining sterile field, and stocking supplies.
• Experience with rapid response/code teams and infection control practices preferred.
• Lead tech and EP circulate procedure experience preferred.

• Experience recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• State-issued ID, SSN, and DOB required for consideration

• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during Nov-Jan, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
• Local candidates within 90 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
• AHA-issued certifications preferred; ARC certifications not accepted
