Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to conduct in-home echocardiograms and vascular imaging visits under a per diem, 1099 contract model.

Travel regionally to patient homes, with expenses reimbursed per visit. Requires active RDCS/RCVS and RVT/RVS registrations, BLS, and reliable transportation. Work independently in non-traditional settings with strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCVS with RVT/RVS).
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Ability to follow imaging protocols and ASE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or regionally to patient homes for visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed consent from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
