Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, activate, and troubleshoot residential and commercial internet, video, and voice services. You will work on fiber and copper connections, configure customer premises equipment, and ensure customers receive reliable connectivity and a positive installation experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in customer homes and business environments professionally.
• Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and basic power tools.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft 365 applications and mobile field service apps.

Responsibilities

• Install and activate residential and commercial internet, voice, and video services, including fiber and copper broadband connections.
• Route and secure indoor and outdoor cabling and mount network interfaces as required.
• Configure and test routers, Wi-Fi, video and voice equipment for optimal performance.
• Verify signal levels, service speeds, and overall service quality using testing tools.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and Wi-Fi optimization for a positive experience.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues in homes and businesses, including wiring faults and equipment failures.
• Document installation details, test results, and service activities in company systems.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety policies and PPE usage.
• Operate company vehicles safely and participate in on-call rotations and travel assignments.
