Job summary

Vantage Point is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, activate, and troubleshoot residential and commercial internet, video, and voice services. You will work with fiber and copper connections, configure CPE, and ensure reliable connectivity while delivering a positive installation experience.

The role involves extensive travel, on-site customer interactions, and representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to work in customer homes and business environments while maintaining professionalism.
Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and basic power tools.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft 365 applications and mobile field service apps.

Responsibilities

Install and activate internet, voice, and video services for residential and commercial customers.
Route, secure, and manage indoor/outdoor cabling and mount network devices as required.
Configure routers, Wi‑Fi, video and voice equipment for optimal performance.
Verify signal levels and service speeds using approved testing tools.
Educate customers on equipment operation and Wi‑Fi optimization.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues and resolve faults in customer environments.
Document installation details and test results in company systems and applications.
Maintain clean and professional work areas and represent the company positively.
Follow safety policies and operate vehicles safely and on schedule.
Participate in on‑call rotations and travel as required.
