Job summary

Research Medical Center seeks an RN Coordinator for Trauma/Womens to support obstetrical trauma patients with patient-centered care. This role maintains 24/7 activation readiness and coordinates across Trauma Resuscitation, Radiology, OR, PACU and ICU under ACS standards.

The position collaborates with the Trauma Director and Medical Director to drive quality care, safety, and performance improvement, ensuring timely interventions and seamless patient transitions through the hospital system.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NRP certifications required or obtainable within stated timelines.
• RN license must be active within 90 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree in nursing or higher preferred for Trauma/Women's care.
• Prior trauma, obstetric, or women's health nursing experience is advantageous.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork in a high-acuity setting.
• Employment is governed by hospital policies and ACS standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in care of obstetrical trauma patients with a patient/family centered approach.
• Maintain continuity of care as patient moves through hospital course (Trauma Resuscitation bay, Radiology, OR, PACU, ICU).
• Collaborate with Director of Trauma Services and Trauma Medical Director to ensure quality care.
• Identify Performance Improvement opportunities and develop action plans with trauma staff.
