Job summary

Research Medical Center in the Kansas City area is seeking an RN Coordinator Trauma/Womens to support obstetrical trauma patients with a family-centered approach. The role tracks the patient through the hospital course, from Trauma Resuscitation to Radiology, OR, PACU and ICU.

The RN will work with the Director of Trauma Services and Trauma Medical Director to ensure high-quality care and lead performance improvement opportunities. 24/7 availability is required.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NRP must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• TNCC must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN license must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree in nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for obstetrical trauma patients across hospital units.
• Monitor activations; respond promptly per ACS standards (15/30 minutes).
• Collaborate with Trauma Director and Trauma Medical Director to improve care.
• Support Performance Improvement initiatives with trauma staff.
