Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect in Hannibal, MO, is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to support children facing trauma and behavioral health challenges. You will engage in neurodevelopmental activities, modeling, coaching, and redirection to foster emotional regulation and independence.

You will follow individualized plans, participate in ongoing training, and work 3–5 times per week after school hours and on weekends to help children succeed at home, school, and within the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with elevated behavioral needs is preferred.
• Must be able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must have smartphone and laptop/computer for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children on neurodevelopmental activities.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training and supervision.
• Create engaging activities tailored to each child’s interests and goals.
• Work 3–5 times per week in afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Help children develop healthy relationships and improve communication.
