Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect seeks a Behavioral Interventionist to support children facing mental and behavioral health challenges. You will work one-on-one with clients, following individualized plans, and participate in ongoing training and supervision.

Role emphasizes trauma-informed care, daily living skills, and emotional regulation, with activities scheduled afternoons, evenings, and weekends to fit families’ routines. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with elevated behavioral needs preferred.
• Must be willing and able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk, following paid training.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must have smartphone and laptop/computer for work purposes.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children on neurodevelopmental activities to build healthier emotional regulation and independence.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests and goals; typically work 3–5 times per week during afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Support children in developing healthy relationships, communication, and success at home, school, and in the community.
