Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect in Leavenworth, KS is seeking a part-time Behavioral Interventionist to support children with neurodevelopmental needs. You will follow individualized plans, provide emotional regulation coaching, and lead engaging activities 3–5 times weekly in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications include 21+ years, high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and willingness to perform safety holds and safety training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with elevated behavioral needs preferred.
• Must be able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk for harming themselves or others, following paid training.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must have smartphone and laptop/computer willing to use for work purposes.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications

Responsibilities

• Work with children on neurodevelopmental activities to support emotional regulation and independence.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests and goals and provide support 3–5 times weekly in afternoons/evenings/weekends.
• Help children build healthy relationships, improve communication, and succeed at home, school, and in their communities.
