Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to work with children facing behavioral health challenges in Kansas. You will implement individualized plans, engage in trauma-informed activities, and support families in daily routines.

Role requires 21+ years, safety holds training, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Must have a high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred. Evening and weekend hours are common, with travel to client homes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and able to perform safety holds on at-risk clients.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to client homes; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to support emotional regulation and independence.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training and supervision.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests; typically 3–5 sessions per week in afternoons, evenings, or weekends.
• Help children develop healthy relationships, improve communication, and succeed at home, school, and in the community.
