Job summary

FosterAdopt Connect in Kansas is seeking Behavioral Interventionists to support children with trauma histories and behavioral challenges. You will work one-on-one, following individualized plans with coaching and ongoing training.

You’ll help children develop emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and skills for home, school, and community through engaging activities, safety procedures, and family collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience with elevated behavioral needs preferred.
• Must be willing and able to perform safety holds after paid training.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must have smartphone and laptop for work purposes.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications.
• Hourly range $21.65-$24/hour, commensurate with degree(s) and experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children on neurodevelopmental activities to support emotional regulation and independence.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training and supervision.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests and goals, supporting families and communities.
