Job summary

Rose Brooks Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a full-time Therapist to provide trauma-informed clinical services in our residential shelter.

You will perform assessments, offer individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and connect residents with resources to promote safety, stability and recovery. This role reports to the Supported Recovery Manager and requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field is required.
• Clinical licensure or eligibility (LCSW/LMFT/LPC) preferred.
• Experience in domestic violence or residential settings is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed clinical services to survivors in a residential shelter.
• Conduct trauma, mental health, and substance use assessments.
• Provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning.
• Connect residents with internal and external resources for safety and recovery.
• Collaborate with the Supported Recovery Program Manager and team.
