Job summary

Newhouse in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Children’s Therapist to deliver trauma-informed therapy to survivors of domestic violence, helping them regain safety and coping skills. The role reports to the VP of Children’s Services and requires working with a team of therapists, case managers and direct service staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in LPC or MSW is required.
• Missouri and Kansas licensure required; reciprocity supported.
• Clinical experience in individual and group counseling.
• Experience with domestic violence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to NASW/ACA codes and MOCADSV standards.
• Operate with survivor-centric mindset and trauma-informed culture.
• Lead treatment planning and determine service frequency with clients.
• Conduct at least four therapeutic groups weekly, including one evening group.
• Provide individual sessions and crisis intervention per plan.
