Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Therapist.
The Therapist (internal classification: Assessment and Coordination Therapist II) provides trauma-informed clinical services to survivors residing in our residential shelter. This position conducts domestic violence, mental health, and substance use assessments; provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and individualized support planning; and connects residents with internal and external resources to promote safety, stability, and recovery. Working in collaboration with the Supported Recovery Program Manager and a multidisciplinary team, the Therapist provides clinical support and care coordination to address the impacts of trauma, mental health concerns, and substance use. This position reports to the Supported Recovery Manager.

Full-time, exempt position. This position requires a flexible work schedule (average of 40 hours per week), primarily Monday through Friday days and two evenings per week to accommodate participant’s schedules. Participation in an on-call rotation is required, approximately one week/weekend every ten weeks, providing phone-based consultation and support to shelter staff as needed. No onsite response is required for on-call duties.
This position falls into a range starting at $59,000 annually (exempt) and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
