Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, is seeking a licensed Special Education teacher to manage a structured classroom for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in Virginia. You will design instruction aligned to IEP goals, implement evidence-based strategies, and collaborate with families and staff to support student progress and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education required.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities or SPED General Curriculum required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a trauma-informed classroom focused on Safety, Dignity, and Opportunity.
• Deliver instruction aligned to SOLs and individual IEP goals.
• Coordinate with families, paraprofessionals, and staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and reports.
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with service providers.
