Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education required (license eligible candidates accepted).
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities (ED), Special Education General Curriculum K–12, or related SPED endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom aligned to SOLs and IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied academic, behavioral, communication, and sensory needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and collaborate with families and related staff.
• Implement KEYS curriculum and Social Thinking integration in daily instruction.
• Adhere to policies, maintain confidentiality, and complete required trainings.
