Job summary

Health Connect America- KEYS Academy is seeking a licensed Special Education teacher to lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom for K–12 students in Virginia. You will implement SOL-aligned instruction, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with families and staff to promote safety, dignity, and opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field and valid teaching license.
• Active Virginia SPED license or eligibility to obtain one is required.
• Endorsement in ED/SPED or related area is required or candidate must pursue SPED endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom aligned to SOLs and IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied academic, behavioral, communication, and sensory needs.
• Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and use online platforms and reading systems.
• Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals.
• Collaborate with families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress reports, and required documentation.
