Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a School-based Behavioral Health Liaison to provide in-person consultation with teachers, promote trauma-informed classroom practices, and support students at risk for emotional/behavioral issues. The role includes psycho-educational group work and collaboration with families and school staff.

The position emphasizes IEP collaboration, trauma-informed planning, and facilitating connections to community behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required in a behavioral health field (psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy)
• Licensure eligibility preferred
• Experience in school-based mental health settings is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face consultation with teachers to create trauma-informed classrooms
• Deliver at least one face-to-face training per year to LEA personnel
• Support school mental health initiatives and universal prevention strategies
• Serve as liaison between school, family, and youth, assisting with IEP processes when requested
• Navigate local behavioral health system for school personnel and families
• Maintain logs and documentation for grant and organizational requirements
• Provide individual or group services and develop trauma-informed support plans with schools
• Comply with bi-annual performance evaluations
