Job summary

Centerstone, a national nonprofit behavioral health system, is seeking a School-based Behavioral Health Liaison to collaborate with teachers in creating trauma-informed classrooms for children at risk and those with emotional/behavioral concerns.

The role includes psycho-educational groups, liaison work between families and schools, and support for IEP processes, alongside development of school-wide mental health initiatives and training for LEA personnel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in clinical psychology, mental health counseling, social work, or related field.
• License-eligible in the respective discipline; driver’s license may be required.
• Experience with clinical treatment planning and DSM usage during internships/practicum.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face consultation with teachers to create trauma-informed classrooms.
• Deliver at least one face-to-face training per year to LEA personnel on mental health topics.
• Support school-wide mental health initiatives and universal prevention strategies.
• Serve as liaison between families and schools to strengthen home–school partnerships.
• Assist in IEP processes and trauma-informed support planning when requested.
• Navigate local behavioral health services and crisis resources for school staff.
• Maintain logs and documentation to meet grant and organizational requirements.
• Offer individual, group, and family interventions as needed.
