Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a school-based behavioral health liaison to work with teachers in Nashville-area schools. The role provides face-to-face consultation to create trauma-informed, positive learning environments and to support students at risk of emotional/behavioral problems or SED.

You will lead psycho-educational groups, assist with IEP processes, and coordinate between families, schools, and mental health services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, MH counseling, or social work.
• License-eligible in the respective discipline preferred.
• Clinical internship or practicum experience may count toward requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face consultation with teachers to create trauma-informed classrooms.
• Deliver at least one face-to-face training per year to LEA personnel.
• Develop school-wide mental health initiatives and universal prevention strategies.
• Facilitate liaison between family and school, assisting in IEP processes when invited.
• Support staff in navigating local behavioral health services and crisis resources.
• Maintain logs and documentation for grant/monitoring requirements.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed and update treatment plans.
• Complete bi-annual performance evaluations.
