Job summary

The International Rescue Committee seeks a Safety & Wellness Specialist to collaborate with coordinators and casework staff in Phoenix, AZ. You will assess client needs, support outreach efforts, and connect individuals to community resources, with additional duties across the office as needed.

Responsibilities include delivering trauma-informed services, maintaining files, and developing referral plans aligned with eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Social Work, Human Services or similar field strongly preferred; comparable related work experience may be substituted.
• 2+ years of related work experience; asylum seekers or victims of crime experience preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English; ability to communicate across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trauma-informed, client-centered services to Safety & Wellness clients.
• Identify needs, assess eligibility, and develop referral plans.
• Support enrollment for clients based on arrival patterns.
• Maintain case files and enter program data accurately.
• Provide light-touch case support, including crisis intervention and follow-up.
